There are two basic models I've been thinking about:
(1) Set up a network of fixed places, where that combine
coworking and accomodation. Everything is taken care of;
someone picks you up at the airport, hands you a phone,
half an hour later you have a room and are sitting at your desk.
Easy to do in places like the Philippines or Thailand.
But -- someone has to run the day to day operations
of a place like that. I'm a techie, not a hotel manager.
(2) Make deals with (preferably eco-type) resorts and
existing hospitality type places, where we help them get internet
and bring in business, in return for discounts.
But, this requires a critical mass of people actually moving
around, perhaps in an extended-stay barcamp fashion?
Any thoughts? Anyone in on any of this?
